Most common causes of app connection issues
- Battery life – if experiencing connection issues, replace with fresh batteries and retest
- Harness issues – upon identifying connection issues (if battery life is confirmed) check your harness for signs of wear or tear
- Motor connections on the decoy – confirm there are no breaks on the decoy motor connections/terminals

Here are a few specific cases we've run into - see if one matches the issues you're having...
My Pinteal controller is connected to the battery and decoy and the app says “Ready” but when I press “on” the motor doesn’t turn.
- Make sure the decoy is powered on
- Ensure battery has enough charge
- Evaluate the harness connections – look for breaks or tears in the wiring

My Pinteal controller is connected to the battery and decoy and the app says “WEQ.”
- Make sure the decoy is powered on
- Ensure battery has enough charge
- Ensure the harness is connected to the right terminal
- Black to battery
- Green to decoy
OR
- Red – red; black – black
- Evaluate the harness connections – look for breaks or tears in the wiring

My Pinteal controller is starting to lose connection.
- This is typically due to declining battery life. Please use a fresh battery to check connection. If that still does not work, evaluate the integrity of the harness and look for tears or rips.
- Otherwise, call Pinteal for support
My Pinteal AA and Pinteal M & LD 6/12V appear to be draining battery quickly.
- If you are like us and most other hunters, you like to leave your motion decoy plugged in between hunts. If you have a Pinteal AA or Pinteal M/LD 6/12V this can be a problem depending on how long you let your decoy sit. The Pinteal AA and 6/12V will continue to drain power while they are connected to the battery. The controller technology consists of blue-tooth low energy (BLE) so the power draw is very minimal but, after sitting for weeks, you can expect some battery drain.
- Recommendation: After use, disconnect the battery side of your controller. Prior to entering the field, reconnect your battery side connections and test the decoy to make sure it still works
